Gintama: The Best of Gintama on Theater 2D is a compilation movie that features two of the most popular story arcs from the Gintama anime series. The movie is split into two parts, each focusing on one story arc - The Shinsengumi Crisis arc and The Kabukicho Four Devas arc.

The Kabukicho Four Devas arc is set in Kabukicho, a district in Tokyo that is controlled by four powerful factions - the Ougai, the Housen, the Doromizu, and the Baragaki. The arc follows the Gintama gang as they get caught up in a turf war between these factions and try to help a former yakuza boss who is trying to do the right thing.
The movie features scenes from both story arcs, including some of the most iconic and memorable moments. It also features new animation and some additional scenes that were not included in the original anime series. The movie was released in Japan in 2012 and was screened in selected theaters.
