Gigli is a low-ranking mobster who is ordered to kidnap the mentally challenged younger brother of a federal prosecutor in order to prevent him from testifying against a powerful mob boss. Despite his initial reluctance, Gigli thinks it will be an easy job and agrees to do it for a large sum of money.
However, things quickly go wrong when Gigli's target proves to be more difficult to handle than he anticipated. He realizes that he's in over his head and starts to panic as he realizes the severity of his situation. In an attempt to make the best of the situation, Gigli calls in a female gangster named Ricki, who is known for her seductive charms and is more skilled in managing difficult targets.
Ricki arrives and immediately takes charge of the situation. She is a free-spirited and unapologetically sexual woman who is not afraid to use her feminine charm to get what she wants. Despite initially clashing with Gigli, the two end up forming a bond over the course of the kidnapping.
As the situation becomes more complicated and the two mobsters are forced to spend more time together, they start to develop feelings for each other. However, their attraction is complicated by the fact that Ricki is a lesbian and the strict code of their criminal organization. They must navigate their relationship carefully, especially as they begin to fall in love with each other.
The film was criticized for its poor writing and direction, as well as the lack of chemistry between the two lead actors. It also gained notoriety for featuring one of the worst performances from a major movie star in history, with Ben Affleck's performance as Gigli being one of the most ridiculed of all time.
