Ghoulies is a horror movie from 1985, directed by Luca Bercovici. The movie centers around a young man named Jonathan Graves (played by Peter Liapis) who inherits an old mansion from his late father. Jonathan moves into the mansion with his girlfriend Rebecca (played by Lisa Pelikan) and begins to uncover a dark history of the house.
Jonathan begins to experiment with black magic and unbeknownst to him, he summons a group of ancient demons known as the Ghoulies. The Ghoulies are small creatures that are under Jonathan's control once he summons them. However, as time goes on, Jonathan becomes more and more possessed by the need to control the demons and unravels into a more sinister and evil version of himself.
As the story progresses, Rebecca becomes increasingly worried about Jonathan's well-being and contacts a friend who is a paranormal investigator to help. Soon, they realize that they must fight to stop Jonathan before the Ghoulies take over completely and destroy everything in their path.
Ghoulies was a commercial success and spawned three sequels, although the subsequent films deviated from the original storyline and focused more on the Ghoulies themselves.
