Ghost Light is a 2018 horror-comedy film directed by John Stimpson. The film centers around Joseph Watkins (Tom Riley), a struggling actor and opportunist who persuades a theatre manager to let him put on a production of Shakespeare's Macbeth at a theatre with a dark and deadly past. Joseph is trying to impress Virginia (Danielle Campbell), an actress who is on the brink of leaving town.
As the production begins, strange occurrences start plaguing the theatre, including a mysterious ghost light that flickers on and off. Joseph becomes increasingly obsessed with the spirit of the theatre, convinced that it is trying to communicate with him. Meanwhile, two detectives are investigating a string of violent murders that seem to be connected to the theatre.
