Ghajini is a 2008 Bollywood action-thriller film directed by A.R. Murugadoss and stars Aamir Khan, Asin, and Jiah Khan in lead roles. The film is a remake of the 2005 Tamil film with the same name, which also starred Asin and Suriya in the lead roles.
Sanjay (Aamir Khan) is a successful businessman who owns a telecom company in Mumbai. He is dating Kalpana (Asin), a young and carefree girl who he meets during a business trip. One day, while they are both at a railway station, Kalpana is murdered by a gangster named Ghajini (Pradeep Rawat), who hits Sanjay on the head with a metal pole when he tries to protect her.
As a result of the head injury, Sanjay suffers from anterograde amnesia, a condition that makes him forget any new events or information after a certain period. In his case, his memory lasts only for 15 minutes. He becomes obsessed with finding Kalpana's killer, but due to his memory loss, he is unable to remember important clues or even Ghajini's face.
Sanjay starts to maintain a diary to remember important information and sets out to track down Ghajini. With the help of a medical student named Sunita (Jiah Khan), Sanjay manages to piece together his past and figure out Ghajini's true identity. The second half of the film is devoted to Sanjay's quest for revenge against Ghajini.
The film was praised for its action sequences and Aamir Khan's performance. Asin also received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Kalpana. The film's soundtrack, composed by A.R. Rahman, was also a huge success, with songs like "Guzaarish" and "Kaise Mujhe" becoming popular hits. The film went on to become a massive commercial success, grossing over Rs. 2 billion worldwide.
