Gettin' Square is a 2003 Australian crime comedy film directed by Jonathan Teplitzky. The film follows Barry Wirth, a former criminal who has just been released from prison after serving time for a drug-related crime. Barry is now determined to leave his old life behind and start afresh by staying out of trouble and going straight.
However, his plans are soon derailed when he discovers that his best friend Spit is in trouble, owing money to a local gangster. Barry is forced to help Spit in order to pay off his debts, and together, they come up with a plan to rob a bank. Meanwhile, another one of Barry's friends, Dabba, is also struggling to stay on the straight and narrow after leaving his life of crime behind.
As they try to keep a low profile and avoid the authorities, Barry, Spit, and Dabba find themselves caught up in a web of deceit and danger. With their lives on the line, they must work together to get out of the mess they've created and finally get square.
