Directed by Sam Weisman, George of the Jungle was released in 1997 and is a family comedy film. The lead character, George, is played by Brendan Fraser, while Leslie Mann plays Ursula Stanhope. The movie was a box office success and grossed over $174 million worldwide.

The story begins with George, an orphaned baby boy, surviving a plane crash in the jungle. He is adopted and raised by a wise ape named Ape. The movie then fast-forwards to George as a grown-up man who swings through the trees on vines and speaks in broken English.

Meanwhile, Ursula Stanhope, a wealthy and sophisticated woman from San Francisco, is on a safari in the same jungle with her fiance, Lyle Van de Groot (played by Thomas Haden Church) who is more interested in hunting animals than Ursula. When Ursula falls into a river and is saved by George, she is instantly fascinated with him and decides to take him back to San Francisco to show him to the world.

As Ursula and George navigate their worlds together, they face multiple hurdles due to their obvious cultural and social differences. George is taught to behave like a gentleman, learn discipline, and adapt to the norms of civilization while Ursula learns to appreciate the simple and carefree lifestyle in the jungle. Together, they discover what is truly important in life and fall in love with each other.

Meanwhile, Lyle continues his search for Ursula, and when he finally finds her, he tries to take her back to San Francisco. However, George comes to her rescue, and ultimately, Lyle is exposed for his evil intentions, and George and Ursula live happily in the jungle.

George of the Jungle is a lighthearted and entertaining movie that combines elements of comedy, romance, and adventure. With a strong cast and a well-written script, it is a must-watch family movie that will leave viewers smiling and satisfied.
