Geography Club is a 2013 teen comedy-drama film based on the young adult novel of the same name by Brent Hartinger. The film follows a group of high school students who form a secret support group called the Geography Club. The group is made up of students who are coming to terms with their sexuality and struggling with the pressures of being different in a society that often rejects those who don't fit into narrow molds.

Russel Middlebrook is a high school sophomore and the film's protagonist. He is a smart, sensitive, and funny young man who is also secretly gay. He is struggling to come to terms with his sexuality and is hesitant to tell his best friend Gunnar about it, fearing Gunnar's response. One day, Russel meets Kevin, a handsome and popular jock who is also secretly gay. Russel and Kevin begin a secret relationship, but they soon realize that they are not alone. They discover that other students in their school are also hiding their true identities and are afraid to come out.

Together with Kevin, Russel decides to form a support group for students who are struggling with their sexuality, called the Geography Club. The group meets secretly in the school's geography classroom, and the members share their stories and feelings with each other. However, keeping the club a secret becomes increasingly difficult, especially when some students begin to suspect that something is going on.

As the story unfolds, we see the members of the Geography Club struggle with their identities and the pressures of high school life. They develop close bonds with each other and ultimately find the strength to be true to themselves, even in the face of adversity. The film is a touching and uplifting coming-of-age story that deals with issues of identity, acceptance, friendship, and self-discovery.
