Gatao: The Last Stray is a Taiwanese crime drama film directed by Ray Yeung and released in 2021. The film is the sequel to the 2015 film, Gatao, which translates to "big brother" in Hokkien. The story takes place in the late 1980s and follows the life of Qing, a young gangster who is struggling to survive in the brutal underworld of Taipei's gangland.

At the full moon banquet of Ren Ge's daughter, Qing meets Xiao Qi, a photographer, and they fall in love at first sight. Despite coming from different worlds, they start a secret relationship, trying to keep their love hidden from the rest of the gang.

However, their relationship is threatened when Qing's loyalty to his gang is tested. He is ordered by his boss to kill Ren Ge, whom he considered his big brother. The act of betrayal puts him in a moral dilemma, and he realizes that he cannot keep his love and loyalty together.

After the murder, Qing is forced to leave Taipei and go into hiding. Xiao Qi follows him, but their love is too fragile to survive the chaos of gang violence and the police pursuit. As they try to escape together, they get caught up in a final showdown, and their fate is left uncertain.

Overall, Gatao: The Last Stray is a gritty and realistic portrayal of the Taiwanese underworld, showcasing the conflicts of love and loyalty and the price of violence. The film features powerful performances by its cast, including Peter Ho as Qing and Peng Sun as Xiao Qi, and impressive cinematography that captures the moody atmosphere of Taipei's streets.
