Max and Annie, a competitive and playful couple, regularly host game night with their friends. When Max's successful and charming brother Brooks comes to town, he decides to up the ante by arranging a murder mystery party. However, things take a sinister turn when the game becomes all too real and Brooks is kidnapped by real thugs, leaving the friends unsure of what is a part of the game and what is not.
As the group sets out to solve the case to find Brooks, they encounter unexpected challenges, including a relentless police officer who they believe is part of the game, a dangerous gangster, and a corrupt businessman. Along the way, they also discover secrets about each other and find that the game might be the only thing holding their relationships together.
