In Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder, Leela and her feminist group, known as the "Wonglepong Women's Auxiliary," try to stop the construction of a giant miniature golf course that will destroy an asteroid inhabited by a unique ecosystem. They know that the Violet Dwarf star will also be destroyed in the process, causing a catastrophic ecological impact. The group tries to convince people to join their cause, but they are either apathetic or unsupportive.
Meanwhile, Fry is approached by a secret society called the "Legion of Mad Fellows" to help them stop the "Dark Ones," a mysterious alien species that is destroying all life in the universe. Fry is given a special pair of glasses that allow him to see the "Dark Ones" and is tasked with finding a way to stop them.
As the story unfolds, Leela and Fry's paths cross, and they ultimately join forces to save the asteroid and the Violet Dwarf star, as well as stop the "Dark Ones." Along the way, they encounter a number of obstacles, including the head of a robot mafia, a feminist icon who turns out to be a man, a robot who can see the future, and a singing alien group called The Beastie Boys.
The movie ends with Leela and Fry successfully saving the asteroid and the Violet Dwarf star and stopping the "Dark Ones" from destroying all life in the universe. However, Leela is ultimately branded an outlaw, and the fate of the universe remains uncertain.
