Funny Thing About Love follows Samantha Banks (played by Haylie Duff), a successful businesswoman who is poised to marry her handsome fiancé, Jeff (played by Chris Soldevilla). However, her seemingly perfect life is thrown into chaos when her family invites her ex-boyfriend, Devon (played by Jordan Bridges), to Thanksgiving dinner.
As the holiday weekend progresses, Samantha finds herself facing old feelings and unresolved issues with Devon, who she still has strong chemistry with. Meanwhile, her family members each have their own drama and antics that make the Thanksgiving gathering both funny and chaotic.
Samantha must navigate her feelings for Devon and her commitment to Jeff, while trying to keep her family from meddling too much. The film explores both the humorous and heartfelt aspects of love and family dynamics, as Samantha learns to follow her heart and find true happiness.
