Outlaw's Romance: A Tale of Infamy and Love.

Comedy,Western  United States of America

During the time that Graham Dorsey spends with Amanda, the two develop a strong connection and engage in romantic endeavors. However, before they can fully explore their relationship, Dorsey must leave to join his gang for a bank heist. The robbery goes awry, and all of Dorsey's fellow criminals are killed.

Assuming that Dorsey was also killed, Amanda grieves his loss and decides to write a book about their brief but intense romance. The book becomes a bestseller, turning Dorsey into a legendary figure in the eyes of the public.

Meanwhile, Dorsey is actually alive and in hiding. He's surprised to learn of the book and its popularity, especially since he's no longer the ruthless criminal that he once was. He eventually reemerges, unsure of how to fit into the myth that Amanda has created around him.

The film explores themes of identity, romance, and how stories can shape our perceptions of people. It's a unique blend of comedy, romance, and western, featuring strong performances by Charles Bronson and Jill Ireland. Directed by Frank D. Gilroy, the film was released in 1976.
