The Vengeance of the Sentient Stump

Horror  United States of America

From Hell It Came is a 1957 American horror film, directed by Dan Milner and produced by Jack Milner. The film stars Tod Andrews, Tina Carver, and Linda Watkins, among others.

The movie tells the story of a prince named Kimo, who is wrongfully accused of murder and treason. He is subjected to a bizarre and unjust execution method called the "taboo tree". The tree is meant to contain evil spirits, and the prince is sealed inside a hollow trunk and left to die.

However, Kimo's spirit refuses to rest and an ancient tribal curse transforms the stump into a monstrous, walking tree. The evil spirit within the tree seeks revenge against those who wronged him, targeting his accusers and those who stood by and watched as he was executed.

As the tree-stump terrorizes the island, a group of scientists and local officials must work together to find a way to stop the creature before it kills them all.

The film is known for its unique and absurd premise, as well as its low-budget special effects. Despite its flaws, From Hell It Came has become a cult classic among horror fans.
