The 2011 remake of Fright Night follows the story of Charlie Brewster, a high school senior who lives in a quiet suburb with his mother Jane. After his former best friend goes missing, Charlie begins to suspect that his new, mysterious neighbour Jerry is a dangerous vampire preying on the neighbourhood.
Despite his attempts to convince his mother and girlfriend Amy, Charlie faces skepticism and disbelief. Eventually, he turns to a self-proclaimed vampire hunter and magician named Peter Vincent, who hosts a television show about the supernatural. However, Vincent initially dismisses Charlie's claims as nothing but a product of an overactive imagination.
As the body count rises and Charlie's suspicions become increasingly validated, he enlists Vincent's help in hunting down Jerry and putting an end to his reign of terror. Together, they must navigate the dark and dangerous underworld of the supernatural, all while avoiding the deadly clutches of Jerry and his minions.
