Friendsgiving is a 2020 comedy film directed by Nicole Paone. The movie revolves around newly-divorced actress Molly (played by Malin Akerman) who decides to host a Thanksgiving dinner for her recently-dumped best friend Abby (Kat Dennings) and their group of friends and acquaintances. However, things quickly spiral out of control as members of the group bring their own set of problems and drama to the evening.
As Molly tries to keep the evening on track and maintain a sense of normalcy, she also struggles to come to terms with her divorce and her feelings for her ex-husband. Abby, on the other hand, is dealing with her own heartbreak and trying to navigate her newly-single life as a lesbian.
As the night progresses, tensions rise and secrets are revealed, leading to a series of comical and chaotic situations. Molly's mother, Helen (Jane Seymour), also adds to the chaos with her own eccentricities and quirky personality.
