Friends Forever is a German animated film based on the Mullewapp series of children's books by Helme Heine. The film follows the story of Johnny Mauser, a struggling actor and vagabond who decides to take a break from city life and visit Mullewapp, a small village with a quiet farm.
Upon arriving, Johnny meets Franz von Hahn, a rooster who fancies himself as a world traveler, and Waldemar, a shy and gentle pig. The three soon become fast friends and spend their days exploring the countryside and playing games. One day, Cloud the sheep disappears, and the trio decides to go on an adventure to find her.
Their journey takes them through forests, rivers, and mountains, where they meet various characters, such as a crafty fox and a wise old owl. Along the way, they learn the value of friendship, perseverance, and teamwork.
