The young girl mentioned in the synopsis is named Tina Shepard. She has been struggling with her telekinetic abilities since the age of 10, which she acquired after witnessing her alcoholic father's abuse towards her mother. During a heated argument, Tina's powers get out of control and a bolt of energy strikes her father, causing him to fall into the lake and drown.
After the tragic incident, Tina's mother takes her to a remote cabin on the shores of Crystal Lake to undergo therapy with Dr. Crews. However, unknowingly, Crews has his own sinister agenda and plans to use Tina's powers for his own gain in a series of experiments.
Tina accidentally awakens Jason from his watery grave when her powers cause the chain holding his body to break. As Jason begins his killing spree, Tina tries to use her powers to stop him, but also unknowingly amplifies them, enabling her to bring inanimate objects to life.
Meanwhile, a group of teenagers rents a nearby cabin to party, but they soon realize they are in for a night of terror as Jason picks them off one by one. In a final showdown, Tina and Jason face off with their supernatural abilities, resulting in a dramatic and explosive conclusion.
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood is known for its creative kills and the introduction of a more supernatural element to the franchise.
