Craig and Day Day, played by Ice Cube and Mike Epps respectively, are excited about their newfound independence as they move into their own apartment. They work as security guards at a Los Angeles shopping mall, where they are known for their slacker attitudes and shenanigans on the job.
On Christmas Eve, their apartment is robbed by a man in a Santa Claus suit who steals all of their gifts and their rent money. Desperate to catch the thief and recover their stolen belongings, Craig and Day Day team up with their eccentric and quirky neighbors to set up a trap to catch the robber.
As they follow leads to try and find the thief, they encounter a host of colorful characters including a pastor who moonlights as a stripper, a crazy elderly woman who believes she is a witch, and a group of gangsters who threaten them.
Their quest for justice inevitably leads to hilarious mishaps and wild adventures, showcasing the comedic talents of Ice Cube and Mike Epps. In the end, they catch the thief and reclaim their stolen goods, learning important lessons about family and friendship along the way.
