Freeze is a horror film based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, known for his vivid and imaginative horror stories. Set in the Arctic, the story follows Captain Mortimer, a seasoned explorer leading a rescue mission to retrieve an old friend and his lost crew. The journey is not an easy one, as they face fierce storms, unforgiving weather conditions and treacherous uncharted waters.
When they finally reach their destination, their ship is frozen into the ice sheet, leaving them stranded in the Arctic wilderness. It soon becomes clear that they are not alone, as bloodthirsty fish-creatures attack their ship, killing most of the crew. Mortimer and a handful of survivors flee the ship and embark on a treacherous journey to find safety.
As they struggle through the harsh conditions, their physical and mental health deteriorates. Suffering from starvation and frostbite, they begin to experience hallucinations and paranoid delusions. When they stumble upon an abandoned research station, they think they have found sanctuary, but they soon realize that they have entered the heart of the creatures' lair.
The tension and terror escalate as the survivors come face to face with the creatures, and Mortimer realizes that his old friend's expedition may have been responsible for unleashing this nightmare. Freeze is a chilling and unsettling horror movie that captures the essence of Lovecraft's otherworldly terror.
