In Freelancers Anonymous, Billie (played by Lisa Cordileone) is a talented coder who is stuck in a dead-end job that she despises. Despite the fact that her job is boring and unfulfilling, Billie is hesitant to leave because she is only a few months away from getting married. However, after a particularly frustrating day at work, Billie decides that enough is enough and quits her job.
Feeling lost and unsure of what to do next, Billie ends up at a local coffee shop where she meets a group of women who are also looking for employment. The women bond over their shared experiences and begin brainstorming ideas for a new tech start-up.
Despite her reservations about starting a new job so close to her wedding, Billie is intrigued by the idea of creating something of her own. With the help of the other women, she sets out to create an app that will revolutionize the world of freelancing.
