The movie F.R.E.D.I. follows the story of a highly advanced robot named F.R.E.D.I. (short for Friend Robot Exploration and Development Intelligence). F.R.E.D.I. has been created by a group of scientists headed by Dr. Andi Palmer, who has poured years of her life into developing the robot.
However, when Dr. Palmer's superiors decide to use F.R.E.D.I. as a weapon for the military, she becomes fearful of the robot's potential to cause harm to innocent people. In an act of desperation, Dr. Palmer steals F.R.E.D.I. from the research facility and goes on the run.
