Tom Green stars as the unemployed cartoonist named Gord who moves back in with his parents, played by Rip Torn and Julie Hagerty, and his younger brother Freddy, played by Eddie Kaye Thomas. Gord's parents are disappointed with his lack of direction and demand that he leave the house and get a job.
Instead of following their advice, Gord pursues his dream of becoming a successful animator and creates bizarre and offensive cartoons. He even gets a meeting with a Hollywood executive, played by Anthony Michael Hall, but his ideas are rejected.
Desperate to stay with his family, Gord comes up with a plan to falsely accuse his father of sexually abusing Freddy. This causes chaos in the family as social workers become involved and the police investigate the allegations.
As the situation spirals out of control, Gord's parents struggle to cope with the accusations and the impact they have on their family. Meanwhile, Gord continues to pursue his dreams with reckless abandon, leading to more outrageous and offensive antics.
Freddy Got Fingered was written, directed and co-produced by Tom Green and was released in 2001. The film was widely panned by critics but has gained a cult following over the years for its over-the-top humor and absurdist style.
