Frankie is a 2019 drama film directed by Ira Sachs and written by Sachs and Mauricio Zacharias. The film follows three generations of a family as they come together for a day during their vacation in Sintra, Portugal. Her son Paul (Jérémie Renier) and his wife, Sylvia (Vinette Robinson), are on the verge of separation, while her stepdaughter, Maya (Sennia Nanua), is a young woman who is struggling with her own personal issues. Frankie's best friend, Ilene (Marisa Tomei), who is also a hairstylist, joins them for the trip.

Throughout the day, the family members try to come to terms with the situation and confront their own emotional and relationship problems. As they explore the beautiful scenery of Sintra, they discuss the past and present and try to find ways to move forward.

The film was praised for its strong performances, particularly Isabelle Huppert's, and its beautiful cinematography, which captures the natural beauty of Sintra. It premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and received generally positive reviews from critics.
