The medical school dropout, Jeffrey Franken, becomes obsessed with bringing his fiancée, Elizabeth, back to life after she is accidentally killed by a lawnmower. He resorts to using various parts from different prostitutes in the red light district to rebuild his fiancée, using a specially designed supercrack to lure them in and ultimately dismember them.
As Franken's creation progresses, it becomes clear that Elizabeth is not the same woman she once was. She has a insatiable hunger for sex and drugs, causing her to go on a rampage and kill several people before Franken finally manages to subdue her.
The film is a black comedy horror that satirizes the medical industry, the objectification of women, and morality. Frankenhooker boasts several bizarre and gruesome scenes, including a talking severed head and prostitutes exploding upon ingestion of the supercrack.
The film, released in 1990, is directed by Frank Henenlotter and stars James Lorinz as Jeffrey Franken and Patty Mullen as Elizabeth/Frankenhooker.
