The movie Foxfire is based on a novel by Joyce Carol Oates and was released in 1996. It tells the story of five teenage girls who are all victims of sexual harassment by their high school teacher. After one of them is groped by him in front of the class, the girls band together and beat him up.

The leader of the group is a rebellious and tough girl named Legs, played by Angelina Jolie, who leads the others into forming a secret society called Foxfire. They all get matching tattoos of the fox to symbolize their bond and loyalty to each other.

As the girls become closer, they start to act out and rebel against the rules of their small town. They steal cars, skip school, and start getting into trouble with the law. Their wild ways begin to put a strain on their friendship when one of the girls is arrested and sent to a detention center.

Through it all, the girls rely on each other for support and guidance. They learn to trust and love each other, even as their lives spiral out of control. The movie is a powerful exploration of female friendship, sexuality, and empowerment.
