The movie Fourplay takes place in a spacious New York City apartment where two couples come together for a Sunday brunch. The film follows the interactions between the characters as their relationships evolve and secrets are revealed throughout the course of the day.
The couples consist of Chloe and Micah, who have been married for several years and seem to have a stable and loving relationship, and Alice and David, who are new to the swinging lifestyle and have come to the brunch as part of their exploration.
As the foursome begins to open up to each other, their secrets and lies begin to unravel. Alice reveals her deep-seated jealousy toward Chloe and Micah's stable relationship, and David confesses that he has been keeping a big secret from Alice - he has never been able to achieve an erection during sex with her.
Meanwhile, Chloe confides in Alice that she has had a recent affair with a coworker, and Micah admits to David that he has been struggling with his sexuality.
The revelations made during the course of the brunch ultimately lead to a series of unexpected plot twists that will have a lasting impact on the relationships between all four characters. Despite the challenges they face, however, the four friends ultimately come out with a deeper understanding of themselves and each other, and are able to move forward with new perspectives on their lives and marriages.
