Four Kids and It is a 2020 family adventure film based on the book by Jacqueline Wilson and inspired by the classic novel Five Children and It by E. Nesbit. The movie follows four siblings, Ros, Smash, Robbie, and Maudie, who are on a seaside vacation with their mother and her new boyfriend.
While exploring the beach, they come across a mischievous creature known as the Psammead, who has the ability to grant wishes. Initially wary of the creature, the children eventually form a bond and decide to make wishes that will help them overcome their personal struggles.
However, the children quickly learn that every wish comes with unexpected consequences, leading to a series of comical and adventurous mishaps. As they race against time to reverse their wishes before it's too late, the children and the Psammead must work together to overcome obstacles and learn valuable life lessons.
The film features an all-star cast including Michael Caine as the voice of the Psammead, Russell Brand as the mother's boyfriend, and Matthew Goode as the children's father. It was directed by Andy De Emmony, with a screenplay by Simon Lewis.
