Wendy is a strong and independent woman who has been struggling to come to terms with the unexpected death of her husband. Despite the difficult circumstances, she has managed to make a successful career as a wedding planner for couples looking to start their new lives together. Her best friend Roseanne supports her every step of the way.
However, everything changes when the cocky and obnoxious Marco decides to open up a divorce attorney office right next door to Wendy's business. The two quickly become rivals, constantly bickering and trying to one-up each other.
As they compete for clients, Wendy and Marco discover that they have more in common than they originally thought. Both have experienced heartbreak and loss, and over time, they begin to develop a deep understanding of one another. Wendy also learns that there is more to life than just planning weddings, and begins to question whether her own values and beliefs have been holding her back.
In the end, Wendy and Marco find a way to put their differences aside and work together to help a couple who is struggling in their own marriage. Through this experience, they both come to realize that there is more to love and relationships than just "happily ever after."
