After a passionate night together, Alex and Isabel go their separate ways, believing their brief fling was nothing more than a one-night stand. However, fate brings them back together when Isabel reveals that she is pregnant with his child. Despite their vastly different backgrounds and values, Alex and Isabel decide to try and make their relationship work for the sake of their unborn child. They decide to get married and move in together, but their cultural differences continue to cause friction between them.
