In the movie Flubber, Professor Phillip Brainard is a brilliant but absent-minded professor who is deeply in love with Sara Jean Reynolds, the president of Medfield College. However, due to his preoccupation with his work, he has missed his wedding ceremony twice, causing Sara to feel frustrated and neglected.
To make matters worse, Medfield College is in desperate need of funds to avoid being shut down. To raise money, the college has scheduled a fundraising gala, which Brainard is supposed to attend with Sara.
But Brainard is so focused on his latest invention, a new source of energy called "Flubber," that he forgets all about the gala. When he finally remembers, he rushes to the college, only to find that the gala has already started, and Sara has left with her ex-boyfriend Wilson.
Heartbroken and determined to win Sara back, Brainard dedicates himself to perfecting Flubber. He creates a green, gooey substance that has incredible properties, including the ability to allow objects to fly through the air. He tests it on everything from basketballs to cars, with hilarious and chaotic results.
In the end, Brainard uses Flubber to save the college, impress Sara, and win back her love. Along the way, he also battles against Wilson, who is trying to steal his invention and sell it to a rival company. With the help of his loyal assistant Weebo and his trusty robot pals, Brainard saves the day and shows that love and creativity can conquer all.
