Flash Gordon follows the adventure of a star football player, Flash Gordon, who joins forces with a beautiful travel agent, Dale Arden, and a mad scientist, Dr. Hans Zarkov, to investigate a strange occurrence that threatens to destroy Earth.
Their investigation leads them to a rocket ship built by Zarkov, which they use to travel to the planet Mongo. They soon find themselves in the middle of a power struggle between the planet's ruler, Ming the Merciless, and the various kingdoms of Mongo.
As they navigate the dangerous terrain and meet various aliens, Flash, Dale, and Zarkov become allies with the Kingdom of Arboria, led by Prince Barin, and the Hawk Men, led by Prince Vultan. Together, they must fight against Ming's forces and stop the destructive power of his deadly weapon, the death ray.
With the help of their allies and their own bravery and ingenuity, Flash and his friends lead a revolution to overthrow Ming and save Earth from destruction. Along the way, they face various challenges, including treacherous swamps, deadly traps, and all-out battles against Ming's army.
The film is known for its campy, over-the-top style and iconic soundtrack by Queen, which features the hit songs "Flash" and "The Hero". Despite mixed reviews upon release, Flash Gordon has since become a cult classic and beloved film for its fun, adventurous spirit.
