Five Fingers is a psychological thriller released in 2006, directed by Laurence Malkin and starring Ryan Phillippe, Laurence Fishburne, and Saïd Taghmaoui. The film's screenplay was co-written by Malkin and Chad Thumann.

The movie follows Martijn (Ryan Phillippe), a young Dutch pianist who travels to Morocco to help start a food program for malnourished children. After Martijn is abducted by a group of terrorists, he is injected with a drug that makes him unable to control his body, but his mind remains intact. Martijn is then imprisoned and forced to play a tense game of mental chess with Ahmat (Saïd Taghmaoui), his captor, in an attempt to learn Ahmat's true intentions and avoid a horrible fate.

As Martijn continues to be interrogated by Ahmat, he begins to realize that there may be more to his abduction than he initially thought. Martijn's conversations with Ahmat become increasingly intense as he tries to outsmart his captor while also struggling to maintain his own sanity.

Laurence Fishburne plays a CIA agent who is attempting to track down the terrorists responsible for Martijn's abduction. Fishburne's character is initially suspicious of Martijn's motives for being in Morocco but eventually comes to believe that he may be an innocent victim caught up in a larger conspiracy.

Five Fingers is a taut, suspenseful thriller driven by Phillippe's intense performance as Martijn and Taghmaoui's convincing portrayal of the enigmatic Ahmat. The film's themes of identity, morality, and cultural conflict give it a complex, multi-layered feel that elevates it above most standard genre fare.
