The movie follows Tonesa Welch as she navigates the dangerous world of drug dealing in Detroit. After giving birth to her son as a teenager, she turns to selling drugs to make ends meet.
As she becomes more successful and rises through the ranks of the Black Mafia Family (BMF), a notorious drug organization, Tonesa gains more power and respect. She is nicknamed "The First Lady of the BMF" by federal prosecutors, as she becomes one of the top drug dealers in the organization.
However, the high life comes with a price, as Tonesa is constantly under threat from rival gangs and corrupt law enforcement. She must navigate the world of violence and betrayal as she tries to protect her family and retain her position of power.
