Fire on the Hill is a documentary film that highlights the story of the Black Cowboys who have been living in Compton and South Central LA since the 1800s. The community has been struggling to keep their culture alive amidst the gang violence and urbanization of the city. The film focuses on the efforts of the residents to rebuild a stable which was destroyed in a suspicious fire.

The film shows how the cowboys are using their passion for horses and the history of their community to inspire and educate younger generations about their cultural heritage. They are determined to preserve their legacy by teaching others about horsemanship, saddle-making and the history of black cowboys.
