The movie follows high school senior Wendy Christensen, who has a premonition of a deadly rollercoaster ride while at an amusement park with her friends. In her vision, she sees the coaster derailing and killing everyone on board. Panicked, she gets off the ride and several of her friends join her.
As they watch the ride take off, just as Wendy predicted, it violently derails and causes a deadly accident. Wendy and her friends are initially grateful to have narrowly escaped death, but soon begin experiencing strange, ominous occurrences that seem to be linked to their survival.
One by one, the survivors begin to die in bizarre accidents that are seemingly unavoidable. As they try to figure out how to cheat death once again, they realize that death itself is coming for them and will not be denied.
Wendy and her remaining friends race against time and fate to try and break the chain of events that seem to be leading them all to their deaths. The tension and suspense build to a thrilling finale, as they confront their destinies and attempt to outsmart death itself.
