Filmworker is a documentary film that tells the fascinating story of Leon Vitali, an actor who gave up his successful acting career in order to work with the legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. Vitali first worked with Kubrick as an actor in the director's 1975 film Barry Lyndon, but he became increasingly fascinated with the filmmaking process and eventually became Kubrick's assistant and right-hand man.
Over the course of more than two decades, Vitali played a vital role in helping Kubrick make some of his most iconic films, including The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, and Eyes Wide Shut.
