"Fido" is a horror-comedy film set in a post-apocalyptic 1950s world where society has been rebuilt with the help of domesticated zombies as servants. The film follows young Timmy Robinson, who befriends a domesticated zombie named Fido that is purchased as a household servant by Timmy's family.

Timmy discovers that Fido can be controlled through a collar, and the two become inseparable friends. However, complications arise when Fido breaks his collar and eats the next-door neighbor, causing panic and fear in the neighborhood.

As tensions rise between humans and zombies, Timmy must protect Fido and keep him a part of the family despite the societal pressure to dispose of all zombies. Along the way, Timmy and Fido bond through various adventures and trials, ultimately leading to a heartwarming and tragic conclusion.
