The protagonist of the movie is John, a successful businessman who is completely shattered when his wife dies in a tragic accident. He becomes plagued by intense nightmares and finds it hard to cope with his crippling depression.
One day, while wandering the streets aimlessly, John stumbles upon a dilapidated house that belongs to a man named Lewis. Lewis is a cannibal who lives alone and has an unnerving obsession with consuming human flesh. Despite being aware of Lewis's gruesome proclivities, John finds himself drawn to the man's bizarre charm and begins to visit him regularly.
As John becomes more involved in Lewis's life, he starts to lose touch with reality and begins to experience intense hallucinations and delusions. His mental state deteriorates rapidly, and Lewis takes advantage of his vulnerability by convincing him to take his own life in the most appalling way imaginable - by offering himself as a sacrifice for Lewis to consume.
