Fearless Frank Movie Synopsis

Resurrected Country Boy: Gangster Showdown

Fantasy,Comedy  United States of America

Fearless Frank is a 1967 satirical film that pokes fun at various movie genres. The story begins when a naive country boy named Frank (played by Jon Voight) arrives in Chicago seeking a job. However, he is quickly targeted by a group of gangsters led by Boss Al (Severn Darden), who kills him.

Rather than staying dead, Frank inexplicably returns to life with superhuman strength and invulnerability. He uses his newfound abilities to take on the gangsters and their various henchmen, including a Russian boxer, a suave hitman, and a femme fatale.

Throughout the film, Frank encounters various characters and situations that parody and lampoon different genres of movies. For example, there are scenes reminiscent of Westerns, science fiction films, spy movies, and others.

The film received mixed reviews upon release, with some critics praising its irreverent humor and inventive visuals, while others found it too disjointed and unfocused. However, it remains a cult classic for its unique blend of satire and genre-bending experimentation.
