The movie Fear of Rain follows the life of a teenage girl named Rain Burroughs, who is diagnosed with schizophrenia. Rain is convinced that her neighbor has kidnapped a child and is keeping them locked up in his basement. However, due to her illness, no one believes her except for Caleb, a boy she meets in her school's special education class. Rain begins to investigate the situation with Caleb's help, only to uncover a dark secret that will change her life forever.
