Fast & Furious is the fourth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise and was directed by Justin Lin.
The movie brings back the original main characters from the first film, The Fast and the Furious, including Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (played by the late Paul Walker).
The story takes place five years after the events of the first film, with Dom and his crew carrying out heists in different parts of the world while evading authorities. Brian, now an FBI agent, is tasked with capturing Dom and his team.
However, their rivalry takes a backseat when they both realize they have a common enemy in drug lord Arturo Braga, who is using drivers in illegal street races to transport heroin across the border. Dom and Brian reluctantly team up to bring down Braga and his operation.
The movie features intense chase scenes and high-speed action, including a final sequence in which Dom and Brian, along with Dom's sister, Mia (played by Jordana Brewster), race to get away from the authorities and Braga's men.
Fast & Furious also introduces new characters to the franchise, including Gisele (played by Gal Gadot) and Han (played by Sung Kang), who would go on to become fan favorites in subsequent films.
The movie received mixed reviews from critics but was a box office success, grossing over $363 million worldwide. It paved the way for future sequels and spin-offs in the franchise.
