Farewell Amor follows the story of Walter, who had left his family behind in Angola to seek a better life in America. Over the years, he had built a life for himself in the U.S., but had never stopped longing for his wife Esther and daughter Sylvia.
When Walter's family finally arrives in the U.S. after 17 years of separation, they are faced with the challenge of reconnecting and rebuilding their relationships. The emotional distance between them is palpable as they struggle to adjust to their new life together in a cramped one-bedroom apartment.
One thing that brings them together is their shared love of dance. Walter used to be a passionate dancer back in Angola, and both Esther and Sylvia share his love for music and movement. Through dance, they are able to express themselves and communicate in ways that words cannot.
