Fantasia 2000 is a musical anthology film that is a follow-up to the classic 1940 film, Fantasia. It was released in 1999 and features eight segments, each animated to classical music pieces performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

The segments include:

1. Symphony No. 5 by Ludwig van Beethoven - Featuring abstract visuals in bright colors that display nature and the elements.

2. Pines of Rome by Ottorino Respighi - Depicting a flock of whales soaring through the air.

3. Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin - Set in 1930s New York City and portrays several characters in their nostalgic pursuits.

4. Piano Concerto No. 2 by Dmitri Shostakovich - A pioneer story featuring an egg transforming into a flying bird.

5. The Carnival of the Animals, Finale by Camille Saint-Saëns - Featuring flamingos with a yo-yo.

6. The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas - The only returning segment from the original Fantasia, showing Mickey Mouse as the titular character.

7. Pomp and Circumstance – Marches 1, 2, 3 and 4 by Edward Elgar - Featuring Donald Duck as a Noah's Ark assistant on his journey with animals.

8. Firebird Suite – 1919 Version by Igor Stravinsky - Depicting the rebirth of life after a volcanic explosion.

The film was directed by James Algar, Gaëtan Brizzi, Paul Brizzi, Hendel Butoy, Eric Goldberg, Pixote Hunt and Francis Glebas. Roy E. Disney was the executive producer of the film, and it was re-released in IMAX format in 2000.
