Comedy  France

Family Business is a 1989 crime drama film directed by Sidney Lumet. The film revolves around three siblings; Vito, Adam, and Diane who are from a family of criminals. They are all attempting to lead different lives when they discover their aunt has died and left them a large inheritance. However, their cousin, Jessie, who they all despise, has been named as the inheritor of the family business.

The siblings decide to team up and get the inheritance that they feel is rightfully theirs. Adam is a successful locksmith who uses his skills to break into his aunt's home and find the documents that will prove their case in court. Vito is a butcher who uses his skills to collect the evidence needed to bring Jessie to justice. While Diane is a lawyer who will fight in court to win the case.

As the siblings plan and execute their scheme, they are constantly on the run from the law. They face threats and intimidation from the local mafia, who do not want their family name to be dragged through the mud.

Throughout the film, the audience sees the dynamics between the siblings and their ability to work together despite their differences. They learn more about each other's lives and the reasons why they chose to step away from the criminal lifestyle.

Family Business is a thrilling film that combines elements of crime, drama, and comedy. The cast includes Sean Connery, Dustin Hoffman, and Matthew Broderick, who all deliver outstanding performances.
