Falcon Song follows the story of a young woman named Sarah who lives with her grandfather, Henry, on a ranch in a small town in Arizona. Sarah dreams of leaving the ranch and pursuing a career in music, but her grandfather wants her to stay and help him run the ranch. Meanwhile, a drifter named Connor arrives in town, looking for work and a place to stay. He impresses Sarah with his guitar-playing skills and they begin to form a connection.
As Sarah and Connor grow closer, they learn that the ranch is in danger of being sold to a developer who wants to build a golf course on the land. Sarah and Connor team up to save the ranch and, in the process, encounter a cast of quirky characters including a Native American healer, a mysterious census taker, and a group of hippies who live in the desert.
Throughout the film, there are elements of magical realism, including dream sequences and visions that Sarah has of a falcon. The falcon becomes a symbol of Sarah's own journey of self-discovery and finding her true calling.
