Fagara is a 2019 Hong Kong drama film directed by Heiward Mak and based on a novel by Amy Cheung. The film follows the story of three half-sisters: Harriet (Nina Paw), a Hong Kong-based woman in her 50s who runs a hot pot restaurant; the eldest, Teresa (Megan Lai), who is a successful flight attendant in Taiwan; and the youngest, Sherry (Li Xiaofeng), a rebellious teenager who lives in mainland China.

After their father dies, Harriet discovers that she has two unknown half-sisters and is tasked with finding them to settle her father's debt. She begins by seeking out Teresa in Taiwan and they bond over their shared memories of their father. During this time, Harriet also reconnects with a former love interest, a doctor named Yau (Poon Chan-leung).

Next, Harriet travels to mainland China to locate Sherry. There, she learns the truth about her father's past and the reason for the debt he owed. Along the way, Harriet also forms a bond with Sherry and helps her overcome her troubled past.

As the sisters reunite, they work together to save their family's hot pot restaurant and discover the true meaning of family and forgiveness. Fagara is a heartwarming tale of sisterhood, love, and the resilience of the human spirit.
