Executive Order is a powerful and thought-provoking film set in a future Brazil where racial tensions have reached breaking point. The government, led by a far-right president, has decreed that all black citizens must leave the country and return to their ancestral homelands in Africa.

Amidst the chaos and terror, two young cousins, Rosa and Dinho, must navigate the difficult decision of whether to leave their homeland or stay and fight for their rights. Faced with racism and prejudice on a daily basis, the two cousins take refuge in an apartment, where they engage in deep conversations about the state of their country and the plight of black people worldwide.

As they grapple with their own identity and sense of belonging, Rosa and Dinho find themselves drawn to the idea of starting anew in Africa. However, they soon realize that leaving behind their family, friends, and way of life is not an easy decision. They must overcome their fears and doubts if they are to unite with others in pursuit of a better future.

Executive Order is a poetic exploration of race, identity, and the struggle for freedom. Director Lázaro Ramos expertly weaves together themes of family, love, and self-discovery to create a powerful and emotionally charged story that will leave audiences questioning the world we live in.
