After Linda becomes possessed, Ash is forced to kill her and bury her outside the cabin. However, the evil force continues to torment him, causing him to experience terrifying hallucinations and supernatural occurrences. Ash is eventually joined by a group of people who arrive at the cabin for a weekend getaway, but they too fall victim to the evil forces.
As the situation spirals out of control, Ash learns from a surviving professor that the only way to stop the evil is to retrieve the Necronomicon, an ancient book that has the power to banish the demons. With the help of the surviving members, Ash sets out to find the book in the nearby town, but they are pursued by demonic entities at every turn.
As Ash fights to stay alive and banish the evil, the horrors escalate to a bloody and gruesome climax, with Ash ultimately emerging as the sole survivor. The film ends with Ash being sucked into a vortex, transporting him to a medieval era where he must continue to battle the evil forces.
