They start to share secrets they had kept hidden from each other, causing more conflict in their already strained relationship. Chris's obsession with his secret documentary also causes further strain, as Anita starts to feel like she is being used for his art.
The climax of the film comes as Chris finally unveils his documentary about their marriage. Anita is horrified and hurt, feeling like Chris had betrayed her trust. Chris tries to explain his intentions, but ultimately realizes that his obsession with filmmaking had caused him to neglect his relationship with his wife.
In the end, Chris and Anita work on mending their marriage, and Chris realizes that sometimes the most important stories to tell are the ones happening right in front of you.
